As it's Christmas, don’t lose sight of what’s important in your life.

No matter what the holiday has in store for you this year, it’s important to remember what the day is all about.

Yes, food is a big part of these holidays, but it’s not everything. If you find yourself stressing about the calories or macros surrounding your meal, remind yourself what is most important.

You’re not going to look back on the holiday and remember the calories and macros of what you’re eating.

But there’s a good chance you look back on fond memories surrounding the food.

That pumpkin pie isn’t going to be remembered as 300 calories. It’s going to be remembered as a fun night of baking with your family.

The cheese & crackers you’re snacking on are not going to be remembered for pushing you over your daily carb total. They’re going to be remembered for the time you spent catching up with your sister that you haven’t gotten to spend time with all year.

Maybe you’ll choose to be careful with your diet on Thanksgiving. Maybe you’ll choose to eat anything and everything. Maybe you’ll fall somewhere in-between. Regardless of how you approach it, don’t lose sight of what’s important.

When you look back on the holiday, it’s not the calories or macros you’re going to remember. It’s the special moments: the laughs, the stories, the time off.

Those things might involve some amazing food or they might not, but at the end of the day, THOSE are the things that matter.

Don’t let calories & macros be all you see this week
